Starting To Write A Play

I've decided to write up the idea I have for a pilot episode of a comedy, would work better as a play.

The story is set in my hometown of Leeds, in a pub that's on the brink of being forgotten about as it isn't as popular as the newer bars that's opening in town. The characters are from working class backgrounds - it's easier to write about what you know, and all muck together to keep the pub relevant.

The working title of my play is 'Down't Local' and I'm aiming to have it written and polished by this summer.
I will update this post as and when I've made more progress.
