I'm going to try and write a story in the style of Dr. Seuss!
All I have at the moment is a title, The Macroodelzig, named after my puppy, Ziggy Mac, and the first sentence. I'm excited to get the ball rolling with this!
Dr Seuss used only 50 different words in Green Eggs And Ham, and whilst that is very impressive, I won't be setting myself this challenge, this time...
I think trying to write in his style is a challenge in itself.
I'm writing my story about my dog. My friends and family know that she's very small, grouchy and a bit of a wild card most of the time, so I'll attempt to make it as fitting as possible for her character. I don't know where this story is going to take me, or what kind of a picture it paints of Ziggy, either way, it'll be a fun writing task.
The opening line, which I'm a little reserved to share, but I'm going to anyway, is:
"In the land where the grumpiest things don't grow big, lives the ever cantankerous Macroodelzig!"
I'm setting myself a week to get this done and dusted, so I'll decide after my challenge is complete, whether or not I'll be making a blog post on it, or if I'll turn it into an E-book.
